The ultimate experience
How the Temple Run runs.
From the moment you arrive to the plate of food after: this is the whole thing, in order.
- 01
Arrive & check in
Meet the team at our base in Tampaksiring. Lockers and changing rooms are there, so you can leave your things and ride light.
- 02
Safety briefing
A full, instructor-led briefing on the controls, the track and the hand signals. First time on a quad is the normal case here, not the exception.
- 03
Gear up
Helmet, boots and gloves fitted, then onto a brand-new 350cc ATV, single or two-up.
- 04
Rice terraces & village lanes
Out through the village and along the edge of the Gianyar paddies to get comfortable on the throttle.
- 05
Bamboo & jungle
The track narrows, the canopy closes in, and the plantation trail starts to earn the mud on your boots.
- 06
River crossing
Straight through the shallows. The wettest, most photographed stretch of the whole run.
- 07
Hidden waterfall
A pause deep in the valley where the track meets falling water.
- 08
The Temple Run Cave
The finish: riding straight through the hand-carved cave mouth that gives the Temple Run its name.
- 09
Shower & eat
Back at base: shower, change into clean clothes, and a meal with a drink while the mud dries on someone else.
Good to know
Before you ride
Do I need any riding experience?
None. Gosek welcomes first-time riders and seasoned explorers alike. Every ride opens with a full safety briefing, and a licensed local guide stays with you the whole way.
What's the difference between the Single and Tandem ATV?
On the Single you ride your own quad. On the Tandem two people share one: one drives, one holds on. Both cover the exact same Temple Run track.
How long is the ride, and how far?
Ninety minutes to two hours on a roughly 10-kilometre trail, at a pace set by your group and the guide.
What will we ride through?
Rice terraces, tropical jungle, river crossings and quiet traditional villages, finishing at the hand-carved cave that gives the Temple Run its name.
What should I bring?
Nothing technical: the ATV, helmet, boots and gloves are all provided. Wear light clothes and shoes you don't mind getting muddy.
When can we ride?
Every day, 08:00 to 18:00, from our base in Tampaksiring, Gianyar. Booking ahead secures your quad and time slot.
